Lynn Ellingson, president of
Trencher Parts West, Inc. started
in 1960 with Jetco, Inc. of Alhambra,
CA, where he became general manager. Jetco was the industry
leader for trencher innovation and design, manufacturing custom
trenching machines, as well as a few standard models for applications
around the world. In the mid 70's, Jetco was purchased and
relocated to Texas.
Lynn and his key employees stayed in California and became
the southern branch of Pacific Trenchers &
Equipment, located in San Dimas. Pacific was
headquartered in Hayward, CA. They continued their trencher
innovation by building a new line of modern wheel trenchers
with enclosed hydraulic drives, they were the predecessers
of trenchers to come.
In 1980, Lynn and his devoted team, left Pacific and founded
Capitol Trencher Corporation.
Capitol designed and built 17 models of heavy duty, high production
trenching machines, for various underground applications,
more than any other trencher manufacturer at one time. Regarded
by many, as some of the best trenchers ever built. Lynn sold
Capitol in 1988.
Michael Ellingson,
president of Trenchers and Equipment Incorporated, started
with Pacific Trencher in 1978, then in 1980 he went to work
for Captiol as a factory representative. After Lynn sold Capitol,
he and Michael founded Eagle
Trencher Corp. where they designed and
manufactured a new line of high production wheel trenchers
for footings, utilities, and pipeline. They closed Eagle in
1992 due to a slow economy. Eagle trenchers are now manufactured
by Guntert & Zimmerman of Ripon, CA. and sold by;
Trenchers and Equipment Incorporated who has
extensive experience with most underground applications and
soil conditions. They can provide you with the best new or
used, wheel or chain trencher available.
Call today with your job specifications and they can recommend
